Our Story

Our story goes something like this…

23 years ago boy met girl, they fell in love, and loved the idea of farming.  He was going to be a doctor.  She a dietician.  But alas, the call to farming was louder and stronger than that of a briefcase or stethoscope.  They jumped into a VW van and toured the west coast in search of knowledge.  Along the way, three marvelous, bright, and generally cheery children joined the cause and Osprey Hill Farm was born.

Osprey Hill is a small, organically grown family farm that is taking big steps towards sustainability.  We're committed to providing honest, high quality food while working to sustain and improve our land and natural resources.  Nothing beats a home grown meal and we love sharing the fruits of our labor with you.

GEOFF MARTIN

Hi, my name's Geoff.  I begin each day with a few fried eggs, homemade salsa, and a strong cup of joe before heading out to the field.  Over the course of the season, I focus my time on managing the day-to-day activities on the farm like direct seeding, transplanting, weeding, watering, harvesting, moving fences, feeding livestock, and more.  Our farm is very dynamic which makes the planning and management of our production important so we can keep things growing on schedule.

ANNA MARTIN

Hi there.  I'm Anna and you'll either catch me tending to the farm's young stock {kids, chicks, poults, ducklings, and seedlings} or working until the wee hours in my office affectionately known as the 'Green Room'.  This is where the season begins and ends--in the Green Room--dreaming, planning, and documenting, filing, writing, creating, and more filing.  I also handle sales, ordering, books, and marketing.
